Garden City

We headed to Garden City with my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law & nephews last week. We couldn't have asked for better weather & a more fun week! Coming off the scary hospital visit a week prior, I was forced by everyone to take it easy all week, which meant a lot of sitting (especially inside.) I didn't care for that too much & it didn't provide me much of a chance to catch some rays, but I felt a lot more rested with all of the help. Everyone pitched in to take care of Miller, with Ryan doing majority of the work. God bless that man. He's a saint!

Morning yoga session on the sand

Miller and Jake LOVE each other!

Night #2 we took the kids to Broadway at the Beach to ride all of the fun things we rode as kids.

Sweet Jake rode all of the baby rides with Miller without complaining one time.

I CANNOT believe Miller wanted to ride the Ferris wheel. She's getting so big!

Graham was fantastic the entire time!

Miller was too small for Myrtle Turtle. Katie took one for the team so Jake could ride.

Ryan definitely took one for the team on the Frog Hopper.

Katie and I LOVED the Pirate Ship when we were young. Jake was disappointed it wasn't actually in the water.

Sassy pants driving her boat

My view for most of the week & who would complain?

Miller convinced her Daddy to have cheer practice in the pool.

These two are nuts together!

35 weeks along with this big 'ol belly!

Graham soaked up being the baby & got lots of cuddle time! He's 15 months old.

One of my favorite pictures of Miller. I pray she always feels this free at the beach!

On our last night we went to River City Cafe. My dad snapped this precious pic of me & my girl!

Our first attempt at coordinating the kids' clothes! Graham loves to eat & was way more excited than the older two who are too busy for it.

These two melt my heart!

How these two felt about vacation ending...

Can't wait to make more memories next year! Thanks for a wonderful week, Mama & Daddy!

Life Lately

So this happened... A hospital visit because I started having contractions (unknown to me) on Monday. They didn't feel like my contractions with Miller, but luckily I dropped my stubbornness long enough to have the doctor check me out. They were able to stop the contractions with two doses of meds, then sent me home. Longest 3 hours I've had in a while, especially since I wasn't allowed to eat!

Miller helped me build her new dresser for her big girl room. It only took me 3 days. Dang Ikea & their 3,000 piece dressers. She transitioned beautifully into her big girl bed a couple of months ago!

This happens OFTEN. Potty time whenever & wherever nature calls.

Smocked dress, backwards hat & duck face. The norm for Miller.

We snuggled & loved on Daddy all weekend for Father's Day!

Our town has a summer leage team for college baseball players & Miller loves the games!
Daddy was smart & bought tickets to 15 games. Too bad we'll probably have an infant soon & it's been 100+ degrees almost every day for the past two weeks.

Yelling, "Hit the ball!"

Lastly, at my last appointment, my belly was measuring four weeks ahead. The baby is big, so they're planning to induce me at 39 weeks if he doesn't come on his own before then. Because of the contractions scare, I'm assuming he'll come on his own a little earlier. We're getting the nursery & everything else ready just in case he does!

Edisto

A couple of weeks ago, we headed to Edisto with Ryan's family and remembered to take a few pictures!

On one of the cloudy mornings, we took Miller to the serpentarium. She loved the alligators & snakes the most!

DI. VA.

Swinging, because when you're here, you're on Edi-Slow time.

We cooked or ordered in most every night, but went out as a big family towards the end of the week.

We'd never miss a family photo-op if everyone's had a shower!

We came back home to recover for a couple of weeks before our next beach trip!

House Update

The hardie board siding is going up & deciding the color was TOUGH! We went through so many options & painted a couple of boards that we carried around for weeks. We finally decided on Gristmill Greige by Sherwin Williams & are thrilled with the results (praise Jesus!)

Here's the back right side

And the back left

Ryan's only must-have for the house was a screened-in porch with a fireplace. Done. Well, almost.

Here's the living room & what will be a coffered ceiling. My dream!

We're still guessing a December move-in date, but we definitely won't be disappointed with anything before!
