Friday Funday

Don't you love how a day can start out so normal, but can turn into one of your favorites? Today was one of those.

Ryan & I have been meaning to get down to Barnwell since Price was born. Traveling with two young kids isn't our favorite activity (that's putting it nicely), but we were anxious to get down there so Ryan's grandmother could meet Price.

It's Friday & it's football season, so we're decked out in our tiger gear!

Ryan's sister, Megan, is our favorite babysitter!

Megan caught wind that I had a major #momfail and STILL hadn't carved a pumpkin with Miller. Bless her sweet heart, she helped us carve a tiger paw pumpkin.

After pumpkin carving & naps, we finally made it to Momma Grubbs' house & spent some quality time with her.

We made it back to Lexington just in time to grab Rush's and check on the progress at the new house before the sun set.

I'm loving Halloween this year with Miller. Tomorrow should be so much fun!

Price - 3 Months

Happy 3 months, angel!

You are the happiest, smiley-est, cuddliest baby in the whole wide world.

You are such a stinker! You love chewing on your hands and will sometimes take a paci, though it's not your favorite.

You are VERY observant and love to watch Miller and your daddy play!

Miller is still smitten with you. You're the first person she runs to see every morning.

You are consistently sleeping through the night (praise Jesus!) I thought you were good a couple of weeks ago, then you started waking again. Looking back now, I think you were going through a growth spurt. People love to tell me how big or tall you are for your age!

You are finally on a consistent day schedule, which has made everything much easier. You're still very easy-going and we love that about you! You love to smile and babble. It's the cutest!

Price, you are so loved by everyone and we can't wait to see what you do next!

Life Lately

Miller loves Price again. I've heard this like/dislike thing is a never-ending cycle.

The weather has been delightful, so we've been spending a lot of time outside.

More squishy love

I don't coordinate these two often, but I love it when I do!

Miller "milking" the cow at the zoo

The weather is too beautiful not to enjoy!

I'm trying to get Miller more involved with cooking in an attempt to get her to try new foods. So far it isn't working, but she likes helping!

She LOVES being a cheerleader.

And a sassy 2.5 year old!

Price's face kills me

We take advantage anytime someone wants to watch the kids so we can have a date night. We went to one of our favorite spots, Libby's in Lexington & highly recommend it!

Every time this kid smiles at me I want to squeeze his face off!

Miller does "afrobatics"

And thinks it's HILARIOUS that Price can't sit up on his own

Ryan & I took the kids to the fall festival in our town. I wanted so badly for Miller to be something cute, but she insisted on Anna from Frozen. Who am I to deny her happiness? Price is a dragon :)

This is the 3rd year Lula & Miller have done Halloween together!

On Friday, the kids & I walked the state fair while Ryan worked a State Farm tent. Miller loved the petting zoo, the bumble bee ride & the doughnuts (she spotted them from a mile away.)

We found ourselves on another Friday date night (yay!) This time, sushi! Love my time with this man.

I haven't been able to spend much one-on-one time with Miller since Price was born, so we took a couple of hours Saturday morning for some girl time. First stop - Krispy Kreme. All hail the mighty doughnut!

We made it home to watch our Tigers beat down Maimi 58-0!

House Update

Everyone keeps asking how soon we'll be moving in. We say, "We're so close!" But honestly, it feels so far away.

Here's where we are today...

I'm pretty excited about that dining room light.

The first coat of interior paint is up & the hardwoods need to be stained.

The appliances are hanging out in the living room.

I stuck a girly chandelier over our tub. Ryan is still getting used to it :)

We have a vanity & faucets, but no doors attached. Nor do we have a finished tile job. Unfortunately our tile guy was hospitalized half way through the job. I promised we weren't the ones who sent him there!

Still need carpet in the bedrooms & playroom.

Our driveway was supposed to be put in the week before the flood hit. We got MAJOR rain for two weeks, so that set us back a lot. We've decided we actually like the exterior paint color on the hardie siding; we just don't like the light color on the shakers. We're going to paint the shakers to match the hardie & that should do the trick. Hopefully.

So, obviously, there's still a lot to do, but our builder says we'll be in before Thanksgiving. Who's coming over for turkey??

Life Lately

This kid. I could squeeze him.

Miller loves him, but she absolutely beats the tar out of him sometimes. It's usually on accident, but sometimes it's not. I'm exhausted from watching her like a hawk.

We had to say "see you soon" to one of our best friends. These girls (+ Molly who left before the pic) have become like family to me. Britney's (white shirt) husband landed his dream job back in her home town. It was a no-brainer for them to make the move to VA, but our hearts broke big time when they rolled out of Lexington.

Last weekend I got to spend a day with some of my very best friends from college. We had the best time catching up & showering Kelley (wedding) and Jenn (1st baby.)

Here we are at Sip in downtown Greenville. We ALWAYS have a wonderful time when we're together!

Miller got her hair cut & her nails painted afterwords. She was so excited to show everyone her "sparkly fingers."

She was really digging this outfit for school & asked me to take her picture.

If my resting face were this cute, I wouldn't mind candid pics.

On Friday we headed to the Upstate because Clemson was playing Notre Dame. Miller REFUSED to use her diaper on the way, so her poor daddy had to stop in the rain to let her use the potty.

I spent some time Saturday with my best friend (why didn't we take a pic??) and Miller played dress-up at my parents'.

Ryan got to (and I use that phrase lightly) go to the game with Josh. I can't believe they actually took a selfie! The things you'll do when you're so excited to be in a monsoon watching your favorite team.

We beat Notre Dame! GO TIGERS!!
